NCB (Cayman) Limited and NCB Capital Markets (Cayman) Ltd successfully resumed their live market update webinar series with the latest session, “Today’s Market Trends: Investing with NCB Capital Markets in 2024,” held on 7th August. This event marks the organisations’ return to a more regular online schedule aimed at providing market updates to existing clients and those with an interest in financial markets and investment opportunities.
Hosted by Portfolio Manager Robert Whelan, with an introduction from Acting Managing Director Tuula Jalasjaa, the session covered current market trends, projections for the upcoming months, and critical insights into recent events such as the future of the US dollar, changes in US leadership, the Yen Carry Trade, and the impact of global conflicts on investment strategies.
Robert Whelan said:
“For some time, we’ve delivered a regular investment newsletter to our clients, focusing on idea generation for portfolio management and providing a market outlook that offers context to significant events, economic data, and their impact on portfolios. It’s encouraging to see that so many of our clients and contacts find these updates valuable, allowing us to re-establish a previously successful channel for sharing these insights with anyone interested in learning more about the markets.”
Tuula Jalasjaa added:
“I’m delighted that we’re bringing these online events back to NCB’s calendar, giving us the opportunity to address the many questions our clients have regarding world events and their potential impact on portfolios. We look forward to welcoming participants to future events and involving more members of the NCB Capital Markets community to further enrich these discussions.”
NCB plans to host these webinars on a quarterly basis, with all future events to be announced on their LinkedIn page, website, and through their monthly newsletter. Attendance at these sessions is open to all interested parties, regardless of whether they are NCB clients.
